I photograph a limited number of weddings each year. Full day coverage, from preparations through to the first dance — or as long as the day runs.
500+ fully edited images. Everything included:

Destination Weddings — from £4,500
If you're marrying abroad, I'd be glad to be part of it. The approach stays the same regardless of the location.
Includes two travel days and general expenses. Flights and accommodation agreed in advance.
Booking
A £450 deposit and a signed contract secure your date. The balance is two weeks before the wedding. Closer to the day, I'll be in touch to go over the details.

What to expect on the day
A wedding day moves fast, and you'll have enough to think about without wondering what I'm doing. Here's roughly how it goes.
I arrive quietly, usually during preparations, and start photographing before anyone's fully ready. Getting-ready shots work best when they're candid — so there's nothing for you to do at this point except carry on as normal.
During the ceremony I find a position that gives me a clear view without being in anyone's eyeline, including the registrar's or officiant's. I move as little as possible once things begin.
After the ceremony, we'll get any group shots you'd like, kept brief and efficient. Then, during the drinks reception, I'll find around fifteen minutes for the two of you alone, away from the crowd. This can be the only part of the day with any direction at all, and even then it's minimal.
Through speeches, dinner, and dancing, I work the room the same way throughout: present, watching for moments, rarely asking anyone to do anything for the camera.
I usually leave once the dancing is properly underway, unless we've agreed otherwise. After a certain point, you'll want to let loose!

FAQ
How would you describe your style? Documentary and reportage. The aim is to be as unobtrusive as possible so that the photographs show your day as it actually was — not a curated version of it.
What separates your approach from other documentary photographers? Documentary is a word that gets used loosely. For some photographers it's a genuine creative choice — for others it's a way of avoiding the harder technical and interpersonal work. The difference isn't always obvious from a portfolio, because the results can look similar when everything goes smoothly. What differs is what happens when it doesn't. My commercial work — photographing senior executives, directing people who are self-conscious and short on time — has given me a set of skills I carry into every wedding: how to use artificial light without it showing, how to direct someone who wants a little guidance, how to get a real expression from a person who freezes in front of a camera. Most couples never need me to use any of it. But knowing how changes what's possible.
Are you insured? Yes, fully insured for professional indemnity with a specialist photography industry insurer.
How many images will I receive? Figures are listed above per package, but in practice the number depends on your wedding. The images I deliver are the ones worth having — edited individually with care, not inflated to hit a number.
What are my usage rights? You have full, unrestricted personal usage rights — print, share, and distribute as you wish. Commercial usage rights are separate; get in touch if relevant.
Do you offer engagement shoots? Yes. An engagement shoot is a good way to meet before the wedding and get comfortable in front of the camera. Typically around an hour at a location of your choice. Ask for pricing when you enquire.
Do you do group shots? Of course, however many you and your family want. It's an important day, and even though these are the opposite of the documentary approach, they're important images for the future.
Can you retouch specific images? Yes. Detailed retouching (removing people, altering backgrounds, significant changes to appearance) is available at £45 per image.
Colour or black and white? You'll receive a mix of both. The choice of which images work best in monochrome is part of the editing process. A full-colour or full-black-and-white edit can be arranged for an additional fee.
How long have you been photographing weddings? Professionally since 2011.
Do you have backup equipment? Yes. I always carry a backup camera, backup lenses, dual memory cards, and backup batteries. Two is one and one is none.
Should I add a second photographer? For weddings over 100 guests, or where the day spans multiple locations, a second photographer is worth considering. It allows simultaneous coverage of different moments — the groom getting ready while I'm with the bride, for example. Ask when you enquire.
When will I receive my images? Via a private online gallery. Up to 6 weeks during peak season, often sooner.
Can we meet before the wedding? Absolutely. I'm happy to meet as many times as you need.
