Natural. Unscripted. Yours.
The best wedding photographs aren't made — they're found. A glance between two people before the ceremony begins. The way a parent holds themselves during the speeches. The exact moment the room decides to dance.
My job is to be in the right place for those moments without you having to think about me.
Honest, Unscripted Moments
I work with natural light wherever possible, which means the photographs carry the actual atmosphere of your day — the quality of light through the windows of your venue, the warmth of candles at dinner, the blue hour outside. Where flash is necessary, I use it carefully: the dance floor is different from the ceremony.
A Refined, Natural Aesthetic
The aesthetic is timeless rather than fashionable. Natural colour, with monochrome where it strengthens the image. No heavy edits, no filters that will date in five years.
What does 'documentary/reportage' actually mean?
It's a word that covers a wide range of approaches — and a wide range of skill levels. At its best, it describes a photographer who has the technical range and the interpersonal instincts to work any situation, and is choosing to stay hands-off because that serves the photographs.
I come to wedding photography from years of commercial work — directing corporate portraits, producing films, photographing people who are time-pressured and camera-averse.
That work has taught me how to use flash properly, how to direct someone who wants guidance, and how to put a person at ease in front of a lens. On most wedding days I won't need any of that. But the choice to stay unobtrusive means more when it comes from someone who could do otherwise.
If you'd like more direction on the day, I can provide it. If you'd rather I disappear entirely, I can do that too.
A Bespoke Experience
While I bring a distinct style to my work, I understand that every couple has their own vision. We’ll collaborate to ensure that the photography aligns seamlessly with your wedding, creating an experience that is both effortless and tailored to you.
